Account Manager — Food, Hospitality & Lifestyle PR | London

The agency

An independent creative comms agency in central London. They're known for bold, no-nonsense campaigns that get people talking. There are about ten people now and they expect to be around 13 by the end of the year. The client list is busy and high-profile: well-known US restaurant brands rolling out across the UK, a new food hall group, and a major West End leisure destination opening in 2027. It's a small, sociable team that takes the work seriously and itself a lot less so.

The role

They're looking for an Account Manager to join as soon as possible. You'll run food, hospitality, lifestyle and young consumer accounts day to day. The work is PR and social-led, so you'll be pitching to social-first titles as much as traditional media. You'll report to an Account Director, with a Director and the agency leadership above them, and you'll manage two people.

What you'll do

  • Run several consumer accounts day to day as the main client contact

  • Plan and deliver restaurant launches, openings and campaigns from idea through to coverage

  • Pitch to national, consumer, food and drink, and social-led titles, and build your own media relationships

  • Bring social thinking into PR plans so stories work on social as well as in print

  • Manage and develop two team members, and review their work before it reaches clients

  • Keep reporting, timelines and budgets on track

  • Contribute ideas in brainstorms and help shape new pitches

What they're looking for

  • At least three years in PR, as an established SAE ready for the step up or a newly promoted AM

  • Agency experience in hospitality, food and drink, or a similar consumer sector

  • A good working knowledge of social media and social-led titles. You don't need to be a specialist.

  • Some experience supervising or mentoring juniors, and the appetite to manage two people properly

  • Confidence with clients, creative instincts and a track record of consumer coverage

  • At least 18 months in your current role

Salary and package

  • Around £38,000, with a little flexibility for the right person

  • A good range of benefits, including 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays), staff discounts and regular team socials

Location and working pattern

Full-time. Office in central London's West End. In the office Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, at home Wednesday and Friday. This can flex around client meetings.

Interview process

A first interview on Teams or Zoom, then a second interview in person that includes a task.

Salary: around £38,000 | Full-time | Hybrid: in the office Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, at home Wednesday and Friday
