Information we collect about candidates
When you send us your CV, register with us or apply for a role, we may collect:
your name and contact details, and the town or area you live in
your CV, career history and LinkedIn profile
whether you have the right to work in the UK
your current and expected salary, benefits, notice period and the roles you're looking for
notes from our conversations with you
We don't ask for information about your health, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or similar. Please don't include it in your CV unless you want us to know.
When you're progressing towards an offer, we'll ask to see proof of your identity and right to work. We'll keep a copy only as long as we need it.
Information about clients and contacts
We hold business contact details for people at the organisations we work with or would like to work with, and notes of our conversations.
How we use your information, and our legal basis
To find you work and introduce you to employers: our legitimate interest in providing recruitment services, and steps you've asked us to take
To keep records the law requires: legal obligation, including the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and tax law
To contact business contacts about our services: our legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time.
To send job alerts and market updates to individuals: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time
To produce market research, such as our annual salary guide: our legitimate interests. We only ever publish anonymised, pooled figures. No individual, employer or client can be identified.
Who we share it with
Employers and clients: we'll always ask before we send your CV to an employer.
Service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and office software, candidate database, website platform and form tools. These providers act on our instructions.
We never sell your information.
Use of AI software
We use secure, business-grade AI software to help with administrative tasks such as formatting, organising applications and data sorting. We choose providers with business privacy terms, including commitments that your data isn't used to train their public models. A person at PR CROWD makes every decision about you.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
Candidate records: two years from our last contact with you. After that, we'll check whether you'd like us to keep them, or delete them.
Financial and placement records: six years, as tax law requires
Marketing contacts: until you opt out or the details are no longer current
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or restrict it, or withdraw consent at any time. We'll respond within one month. To do any of these, email gavin@prcrowd.co.uk.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll do our best to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to work properly. With your permission, it also uses performance and marketing cookies, which you can manage through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Some pages include embedded content, such as YouTube videos, which may set their own cookies.
