ACCOUNT DIRECTOR / SENIOR ACCOUNT DIRECTOR – FINANCIAL SERVICES PR

The Opportunity

A highly regarded financial services PR consultancy is looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Director to take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts — shaping strategy, leading teams, and delivering work that builds and protects client reputations. It's a strong next step for an experienced financial services or professional services PR practitioner who's ready for real client leadership and wants a hand in developing the next generation of talent.

What You'll Be Doing

•      Own the strategy and quality of output across a portfolio of client accounts, setting clear priorities and ensuring consistent delivery.

•      Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations.

•      Lead the development of communications plans and give senior-level, sometimes challenging, counsel to clients.

•      Stay hands-on — writing documents, emails and pitch stories alongside the team, not just overseeing them.

•      Manage and develop junior team members, including coaching, feedback and input into performance reviews.

•      Play an active role in new business, using your own network to identify and win opportunities, and cross-selling colleagues' expertise into existing accounts.

•      Take a leading role in pitch teams for new business wins.

•      Manage budgets across your accounts.

What They're Looking For

•      At least 5-7 years' experience in financial services PR or a relevant professional services environment.

•      A proven track record of running successful PR campaigns and excellent client handling skills.

•      A polished, confident presenter, comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders.

•      Commercial acumen with genuine experience of developing new business.

•      A strong understanding of the financial services sector.

•      Experience managing and developing team members.

•      Experience managing budgets.

•      An established network of senior journalists and media contacts.

•      Driven, ambitious and keen to contribute beyond your own accounts.

What's on Offer

•      £65,000–£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

•      Performance bonus.
