PR SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER / ACCOUNT DIRECTOR - B2B TECH - MAT COVER - HYBRID / REMOTE

An award-winning, PR-led B2B technology communications agency is hiring a Senior Account Manager / Account Director on a maternity cover basis to lead PR programmes for clients in highly technical markets, including electronics components, semiconductors, embedded systems, engineering and industrial technology.

This is a hands-on senior role combining press office leadership, thought leadership/technical content, senior client counsel, and confident delivery across multiple accounts.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading day-to-day client relationships and providing senior counsel

  • Owning account planning, prioritisation and delivery across multiple programmes

  • Driving proactive media relations across UK/EU/global electronics & engineering trade media

  • Developing and overseeing technical content (press releases, by-lines, commentary, case studies, product comms)

  • Translating complex technical topics into clear, accurate, compelling stories

  • Collaborating with digital/content/creative teams on integrated campaigns

  • Monitoring performance and leading reporting with insight-led recommendations

  • Supporting budgets/scope/resourcing and maintaining delivery standards

  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members to keep quality high during the cover period

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in B2B technology PR, ideally electronics/components/engineering/industrial tech

  • Excellent understanding of the trade media landscape (UK + international)

  • Confident senior client handling and the ability to manage multiple accounts at pace

  • Excellent writing/editing and high technical accuracy

  • UK-based and able to travel to Staffordshire or West Sussex occasionally when required
