PR ACCOUNT MANAGER — FINANCIAL SERVICES

The Agency

A well-regarded, independently owned London PR agency with a long track record advising clients in financial and professional services. They work across a broad range of corporate accounts — covering media relations, reputation management, crisis and issues handling, and strategic communications.

The team is experienced, close-knit and genuinely enjoyable to work with. Professionally serious without being corporate. Boutique in size, with the client base and City connections to match.

The Role

A core account management role with real ownership of a portfolio of financial services/insurance clients. You’ll work closely with the wider team to shape and deliver PR strategy day-to-day, building your expertise in financial and corporate communications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing a deep understanding of each client’s PR and wider business objectives

  • Evaluating and advising on PR activity both strategically and tactically

  • Working with the account team to ensure client and communications objectives are met

  • Supporting and leading junior team members

  • Building and maintaining strong client and media relationships

  • Producing high-quality written content across press releases, briefings and commentary

About You

You’ll currently be working as a senior account executive or account manager at a PR agency, ideally with exposure to financial services or B2B/corporate accounts. Alternatively, you may be working at PR or comms manager level in-house.

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • Solid B2B or corporate PR experience

  • Strong media relations skills and a genuine news sense

  • Proven ability to manage and lead others

  • Impeccable writing skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Confident, professional relationship-building skills

The Package

  • Salary circa £45,000 (DOE)

  • Pension

  • 25 days holiday, rising by one day per year to 30, plus eight bank holidays
